What energizes you at work?

I love the mission and purpose of our organization, it is the top reason I chose to come work here. I really wish I knew about and went through this program when I was younger! The fact that no day is the same, nor repetitive really energizes me each day. Whether it is a new project to start, program to assist on or an event to plan for, there is always something different to do each day. I also get to work with a solid hard-working team and meet the teens who we are trying to assist.

Which season is your favorite?

I am a summer baby through and through. Summer is by far the best season and my favorite. I do not like being cold at all, so I love the hot summer days and the warm summer nights. You just are able to get out and do more during the summer while the weather is beautiful and the skies are clear.

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Slow down! Do not be in such of a rush to grow up because it will happen faster than you realize. Be prepared, plan for the future, but also enjoy the times of being a teen and not having so many responsibilities. Also focus on what it is you like to do and what you don’t like to do so that you know or at least have somewhat of an idea of what your purpose is.
