Michael Harris

Michael Harris

Director of Alumni Services

An Evansville, IN native, Michael believes that with enough grit and determination, nothing is beyond your reach. Michael strives to instill this same principle and passion into every teen he meets. Prior to joining TeenWorks in 2017 Michael taught History at Muncie Central High School, then Fishers High School some years later. Before his teaching career, Michael served on the board of directors for the Tri-State Alliance, a nonprofit social service/education organization that serves the LGBTQ population. Michael also served as the Tri-State Alliance Youth Group Director for several years. Michael attended the University of Southern Indiana where he received his Bachelor’s degree in history with minors in both education and political science. Coming from a low-income background himself, Michael understands the hardships many “at-risk” teens face every day. By working with TeenWorks, Michael hopes to provide teens with ladders of opportunities in this 21st Century economy.
